Kathmandu, October 19

The Public Service Commission has postponed examinations scheduled to begin on November 1.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the commission said the examinations are postponed as the risk of coronavirus infection increased of late. The notice does not mention when the tests will take place next.

Earlier, the commission had decided to conduct examinations after receiving PCR negative reports from the examinees. However, the Supreme Court had ordered the constitutional body to ensure that coronavirus positive people could also attend the exams. Following that, the commission was apparently in uncertainty about how to do it.

The commission notes in its notice today that the examinees are under terror whereas some of its staff have also tested positive for the virus.
