Chief Minister of Province 5 Shankar Pokhrel visited Bhumishwor Dhakal, Province 5 Chief Whip of Nepal Community Party hours after an improvised explosive device was detonated outside his house in the early hours of Friday.
Upon inspection, CM Pokhrel asked the police to find out how the explosion was carried out as soon as possible. CM Pokhrel further said that Dhakal’s family would be provided security personnel for their safety. Likewise, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of the state Kul Prasad KC, who also accompanied CM Pokhrel committed a probe into the explosion and action against the guilty.
Police informed that an unidentified group on motorcycles planted a petrol bomb at Dhaka’s house. No human casualties were reported. The rear part of a government vehicle (Lu 1 Pa 456) parked outside the house was burnt down in the explosion, informed inspector Rabin Raj Mainali.
