Chief Minister of Province 5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said that the provincial capital will be finalised next year only.
Speaking at a press conference organised to inform the public about achievements of the provincial government in first 100 days, Pokhrel said that the government was in no hurry to decide the capital as it would a delicate topic and sufficient prudence should be maintained.
“Forging consensus on the topic is a complicated issue. It takes a lot of time and effort,” said Pokhrel, adding “We must finalise the name by next year as we have to give a proper permanent structure to the Province. You will get a hint about it during the budget announcement.”
Informing the media about the achievement made by the provincial government of the new government, the Chief Minister said that the Province had made some new laws and endorsed four of them from the State Assembly, and started feasibility studies for various projects for the development of Province 5.
