Kathmandu, December 30
After days of rising, the prices of gold and silver fell sharply on Tuesday. The Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association reported that the price of gold dropped by Rs 7,900 on Tuesday.
Gold, which was traded at Rs 270,000 per tola on Monday, fell to Rs 262,100 per tola on Tuesday. On Sunday, the price had been Rs 270,600 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver decreased by Rs 305 per tola, bringing it down to Rs 4,590 per tola. Silver had been traded at Rs 4,835 per tola on Sunday and Rs 4,895 per tola on Monday.
