A total of 3,253 people stranded in different parts of Rasuwa following the floods have been rescued, the government said.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel said 15 helicopters are currently involved in rescue operations — six operated by the Nepali Army and nine by private companies.
More than 10 truckloads of relief materials are also being sent to the flood-affected areas, he said.
Pokharel said rescue operations remain the government’s top priority.
