Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli says Nepal is not the country of beggars and it is capable of heading towards prosperity on its own.

He is of the view that Nepal is rich in natural resources including minerals, petroleum products, iron and gold.

Inaugurating the office of Butwal Medical College Infrastructure Construction and Development Project in Tilottama of Rupandehi district on Friday, the Prime Minister said his government was committed to the motto of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ despite obstructions of the opposition parties.

He claimed the opposition parties were protesting the government fearing their agendas would go after the government expedited development works.

In another context, the Prime Minister called on all stakeholders to cooperate with the government in the medical college project as it would contribute to improvements in the public health sector.

According to the government plan, the college would be established as an affiliate of the Tribhuvan University at the cost of Rs 10 billion.
