Oli consults Nepal in bid to resolve crisis

Kathmandu, February 28

Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party chairman KP Sharma Oli consulted a senior leader of the party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, in his bid to solve a recent dispute surfaced in the ruling party.

Summoned by Oli, the former prime minister had gone to his residence in Baluwatar this afternoon. Details of their meeting have not been revealed yet.

Earlier, another chairman of the party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, had hosted a meeting among him, Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, and Bamdev Gautam, excluding Oli, at his residence in Khumaltar this morning.

Of late, Oli seems alone, and hence weak, in the party’s nine-member secretariat.
