Oli calls Cabinet meeting after three weeks

The first ‘paperless’ Cabinet meeting on Thursday, July 27, 2018.

Kathmandu, March 22

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on a Cabinet meeting on Sunday.

A source has informed that the meeting will discuss what further measures are needed to be taken to prevent the coronavirus outbreak in Nepal.

The meeting is being held after three weeks. The last Cabinet meeting was held on March 1 before PM Oli went for kidney transplantation. Since then, PM Oli’s doctors had advised him to avoid crowds, meetings, and gatherings to prevent any kind of contamination during his recovery.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel has been leading a high-level committee formed to control the coronavirus outbreak in the country since then.

The source informs that the chair for PM Oli has been kept at a distance from other minsters’ chairs.
