Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Tuesday called Sushil Gyawali, chief executive officer, National Reconstruction Authority, at his official residence and demanded to know what all NRA has done for the victims of last year’s earthquakes.

PM Prachanda had called the NRA chief at Baluwatar in the wake of increasing complaints from the public, especially affected populations, regarding the NRA’s failure to deliver assistance to the needy.

A source at Baluwatar said PM has told Gyawali to give in writing within Sunday what all NRA has done thus far. “On Sunday, there’s a meeting of the NRA’s board of directors. Before the meeting, PM has urged NRA chief to outline what all NRA has done for quake victims so far,” the source told Onlinekhabar.

During the meeting, CEO Gyawali claimed that he has not been able to perform well because of the bureaucracy.

We have to use the bureaucracy to get our tasks completed, but then bureaucracy is very very slow.

The source quoted Gyawali as saying at the meeting: We have to use the bureaucracy to get our tasks completed, but then bureaucracy is very very slow.
