NEPSE soars beyond 2,100 points

On Tuesday, NEPSE surged past 2,100 points, with the index climbing by 58.58 points from Sunday to reach 2,111.24 points. The market opened with a positive momentum but experienced a dip to 2,064 points at 12.44 pm. However, it steadily recovered until the market closed.

Not only did the NEPSE index rise, but the turnover also saw a significant increase. While the total turnover was Rs 3.19 billion on Sunday, it surged to Rs 4.55 billion on Tuesday. Among the listed companies, the prices of 220 increased, 22 decreased, and four remained stable. Furthermore, the indicators across all groups showed an increase.

The Life Insurance group saw the most substantial increase at 5.44 per cent, followed by the Microfinance group at 5.05 per cent. Other notable increases were observed in the Banking group at 3.10 per cent, Development Bank at 2.17 per cent, Finance at 2.29 per cent, Hotel and Tourism at 3.93 per cent, Hydropower at 0.99 per cent, Investment at 1.87 per cent, Manufacturing at 2.34 per cent, Life Insurance at 3.15 per cent, Other sectors at 1.64 per cent, and Trading group at 1.69 per cent.
