Kathmandu, March 27

The government has said that it has confirmed a new case of coronavirus infection in the country.

The fourth case was confirmed at the Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, Sudurpaschim province, according to Bikas Devkota, the spokesperson at the Ministry of Health.

The government had announced the confirmation of the second and third cases on Monday and Wednesday respectively. The first Covid-19 patient was registered in January, but he is said to be recovered now.

Like the previous cases, the Dhagadhi-based patient had also recently returned home from a foreign country. Devkota says the 34-year-old man had come to Nepal from Dubai of the United Arab Emirates and was admitted to the hospital suspecting himself of the infection this Tuesday.

He is out of danger now.
