Kathmandu, April 30

After forecasters predicted adverse impacts of the Cyclone Fani on people of India and Bangladesh, Nepali meteorological officials are also keeping an eye on the possible impacts of the storm.

Meteorologist Barun Paudel at the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, informs that his office is aware of the international warning and has stayed alert.

He forecasts that the cyclone will not have any impact till Friday except some clouds. The development for next two days is yet to be predicted, according to him.

The department is monitoring international developments for that, he informs.

Media reports have said that the cyclone has been formed in Northern Indian Ocean on April 27 and 28. The landfall in northeastern India is expected this Friday.

Earlier in October 2014, sudden weather changes caused by the Cyclone Hudhud had triggered an avalanche on Mount Dhaulagiri of Nepal, killing 43 people.
