Kathmandu, October 25
The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, has decided not to host the annual tea party on the occasion of Dashain festival this year due to the Covid-19 crisis.
For over four decades now, the party has been hosting the event in Kathtmandu on Kojagrat Purnima, the final day of the 15-day Badadashain festival, on the occasion of the greatest celebration of Nepalis.
However, the event for this year has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the party’s central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.
