Kathmandu, August 8
In their second match of the ongoing AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers in Thimphu, Bhutan, Nepal will face Saudi Arabia today.
The match will kick off at 1:45 p.m. at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu. Unlike their previous match, which was held in the evening, Nepal will be playing in the afternoon today.
In their first match, Nepal drew 1-1 against Bhutan, sharing the points. Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, suffered a heavy 15-0 defeat against North Korea.
The equalizer on the first match has hurt Nepal’s chances of winning their group. They still have to play against strong North Korea.
According to the tournament rules, the winners of each group will qualify for the Asian Cup, along with the two best runners-up.
