Kathmandu, June 30
Nepal’s U19 cricket team have left for Malaysia on Thursday to participate in the ACC U19 Eastern Regional Qualifier.
The event will begin in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
The Nepali team include Rohit Kumar Paudel (as captain), Pawan Sarraf, Bhim Sarkaki, Kamal Singh Airee, Rit Gautam, Hari Bahadur Chauhan, Bishal Bikram KC, Pratis GC, Rashid Khan, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Lokesh Bahadur Bam, Sagar Dhakal, Kushal Malla and Khadak Bahadur Bohora.
Nepal have been kept in Group A that also includes China, Singapore and Myanmar. The Group B includes Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Bhutan.
Nepal will play against Myanmar on July 2, Singapore on July 5 and China on July 6.
The winners of the event qualify for the ACC U19 Asia Cup Cricket to be held in Sri Lanka.
Nepal coach Binod Das and captain Paudel say their team have hoped the qualification.
