Rastriya Janamorcha has announced a two-month-long movement against federalism. Interestingly, the party is part of the KP Oli-led ruling coalition, with its leader Chitra Bahadur KC holing the position of a deputy prime minister.

The party informed at a press conference on Wednesday that the movement will begin from June 16 and last till August 16. A party meeting held in Kathmandu took this decision.

From June 16 till July 3, the party will organise public gatherings and opt for wall painting against federalism and raise awareness on inflation, black-marketing and other hot-button issues like nationalism.

From July 4, the party will organise district-level gatherings and corner meetings, while from July 17, it will organise interactions and public assemblies in different districts, Janak Raj Sharma, party general secretary, informed.

DPM KC will address the gathering that Rastriya Janamorcha is organising on August 5 in Kathmandu.

The party is against federalism and it has demanded cancellation of the Citizenship Act and the Upper Karnali Agreement.
