Kathmandu, January 2
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 261,438 as of Saturday afternoon.
The ministry says 419 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 5,000 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 942,702 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 5,711 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 253,857 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,870 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 750 people have been discharged whereas six deaths have been reported.
Over 350 people are quarantined across the country.
