Nepal Covid-19 tally: 4,107 new cases, 1,535 recoveries, 35 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 769,922 as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ministry 4,107 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 11,354 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 2,975 returned positive. Likewise, 4,944 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,132 tested positive.

Of total tests, 26.20 per cent of the PCR and 22.89 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 25.19 per cent.

As of today, there are 33,464 active cases across the country. Of them, 3,194 are hospitalised, 714 in intensive care units and 156 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 1,535 people have achieved recovery whereas 35 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 661,651 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 9,957 died, according to the ministry. Likewise, 2,074,786 people have received their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine while 4,297,612 have received their first dose. Today, 115,155 people were vaccinated throughout the country.
