Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,383 new cases, 1,994 recoveries, 24 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 765,815 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry 3,383 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,638 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 2,448 returned positive. Likewise, 6,080 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 935 tested positive.

Of total tests, 23.01 per cent of the PCR and 15.37 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 20.23 per cent.

As of today, there are 32,059 active cases across the country. Of them, 3,037 are hospitalised, 686 in intensive care units and 162 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 1,994 people have achieved recovery whereas 24 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 660,116 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 9,922 died, according to the ministry. Likewise, 2,002,703 people have received their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine while 4,254,540 have received their first dose. Today, 198,459 people were vaccinated throughout the country.
