Nepal Covid-19 tally: 3,125 new cases, 1,925 recoveries, 23 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 762,432 as of Monday afternoon.

The ministry 3,125 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 10,613 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which 2,279 returned positive. Likewise, 3,198 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 846 tested positive.

Of total tests, 21.47 per cent of the PCR and 26.45 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 22.62 per cent.

As of today, there are 31,629 active cases across the country. Of them, 3,224 are hospitalised, 690 in intensive care units and 175 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 1,925 people have achieved recovery whereas 23 deaths have been reported.

Of the total cases so far, 658,122 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 9,898 died, according to the ministry. Likewise, 2,000,211people have received their full dose of the Covid-19 vaccine while 4,163,251 have received their first dose. Today, 195,132 people were vaccinated throughout the country.
