Kathmandu, April 2
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 277,640 as of Friday afternoon.
The ministry says 179 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 3,565 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 275,540 people have been tested in the country.
As of today, 1,579 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 272,962 people have achieved recovery whereas 3,031 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 111 people have been discharged whereas no death was reported.
Over 50 people are quarantined across the country.
