Nepal Covid-19 tally: 171 new cases, 227 recoveries, 2 deaths in 24 hours

Kathmandu, February 4

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 271,602 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry says 171 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours. Out of these, 77 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu Valley.

In this period, 3,878 swab samples were tested. So far, 2 million and 85,573 people have been tested in the country.

As of today, 2,277 cases are active.

Of the total cases so far, 267,292 people have achieved recovery whereas 2,033 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 227 people have been discharged whereas two deaths have been reported. 

The recovery rate as of Thursday is 98.4.

Nearly 100 people are quarantined across the country.
