Nepal has become a finalist for Asia and Oceania in the important “Beauty with a Purpose” category of the ongoing Miss World competition in Vietnam.
The Asia continent finalists include Nepal’s Luna Luitel along with contestants from Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
In this category, where contestants present social projects, Nepal has been a strong contender since previous editions. This time, Miss Nepal Luna presented the Duna-Tapari project from Falewas in Parbat district.
To win this category, Nepal will now need to become the winner of its own continental group. After that, it will need to beat the winners from each of the other continents.
Since Nepal has won this category several times before, it continues to be seen as a strong contender in the Beauty With a Purpose category.
