Nepal beat MCC by five wickets

Kathmandu, November 4

Nepal beast Marylebone Cricket Club by five wickets at TU Cricket Ground on Monday.

Batting first, the MCC had posted a below-par total after they lost all its wickets for only 201 runs. Pawan Sarraf and Lalit Rajbhanshi shined with the ball picking up four wickets each. Karan KC and Avinash Bohora picked up the remaining two wickets.

Bill Rodes top-scored for the MCC with 54 runs while opener Billy Goldsman scored 52.

In reply, Nepal completed the run chase in 12 overs to spare. Even though Nepal lost two quick wickets, the victory was secured thanks to a 124-run partnership between Binod Bhandari and Pawan Sarraf.

Bhandari top-scored with 52 runs while Sarraf scored 38 runs.

With this, Nepal have secured the win in the only 50-over match against the MCC.
