Nepal Army vehicle hits and kills biker

Kathmandu, January 6

A Nepal Army vehicle hit and killed a biker in Saptari of southeastern Nepal on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as Ram Chandra Prasad Chaudhary, 65, a resident of Agnisair Krishnasabaran rural municipality-2 of the district.

The military vehicle carrying 32 personnel (Ba 1 Ga 1989) had hit his bike (Sa 5 Pa 5076) seriously injuring him. Chaudhary was rushed to the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj, but he died during treatment, informs DSP Bhuwaneshwar Prasad Shah of the District Police Office.

The military vehicle was heading towards Lalitpur from Biratnagar.

The vehicle has been confiscated and the driver arrested. Further investigation is underway.
