Kathmandu, November 17
A 23-year-old man residing in Basundol, Chandragiri municipality-2 on the western outskirts of Kathmandu has been arrested on the charge of raping his neighbour.
DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha of the Metropolitan Police Circle in Thankot says the family of a 14-year-old girl filed a complaint on Monday evening that Suresh Lohar raped the girl. Following that, Lohar has been arrested.
The family has claimed Lohar called the child into his room ‘for a visit’ and committed the crime.
Meanwhile, the alleged victim has been sent to the Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital for a medical test.
The accused has been remanded in custody for further investigation.
