Kathmandu, June 21
The monsoon rains that entered Nepal some days ago from the east has become active across the country.
Today, it is raining in Gandaki, Province 5 and some areas of Sudurpaschim. Rain is forecast across the country, says the Meteorological Forecasting Division. Scanty and moderate rain could occur in some places of the country in the next 24 hours and heavy rains in Provinces 1, 2, 5, Bagmati and some places of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim also, says the division.
Meanwhile, the division has urged all to stay safe as with rain, landslides could occur, rivers could be flooded, and roads and airways could be obstructed in the areas.
There have been westerly wind impacts in some areas of Sudurpaschim and monsoon wind impacts in other areas of the country, says meteorologist Bibhuti Pokharel.
