Minister Gyawali, his spouse pledge to donate their organs after death

Kathmandu, July 19

Minister for Foreign Affaris Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and his wife Saraswati Gyawali have pledged that they will donate their organs after their death.

Minister Gyawali announced on his Twitter account that the couple signed a consent letter each, promising they will donate all the organs to the National Organ Transplant Centre so that they can be used for the treatment of other people.

“Life is unpredictable. Let us live to spread light in the society till our final days,” he wrote, “Let us be of any use to some other persons even after death. This is our wish.”

They consented to take out their body parts after death as per the Human Body Organ Transplantation Act, 1998.
