Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Padma Aryal has assured that the government will soon take action against the notorious Baluwatar land grab case ‘soon’.
Addressing journalists at the ministry on Monday, the minister claimed the investigations into the case took a long time as it was a complicated issue. She said the government now completed the investigation following due procedures, adding the court would question if there was any shortcoming.
“They took time in recording statements,” she said, “If the court raises any question, our hard work turns into waste. Hence, it took time in following all the due procedures.”
Besides the ministry, the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority are also involved in the probe. Hence, the minister also blamed the two bodies for the delay.
