Migrant workers urged to obtain re-entry permits before booking return flights

Kathmandu, October 30

The Department of Foreign Employment has urged migrant workers who have returned home on leave to obtain labour permits before booking their return flights.

Issuing a notice, the department asked workers to secure their labour permits on time to avoid missing their flights due to the lack of valid permits.

According to the department, workers returning abroad after leave may miss their scheduled flights even after purchasing air tickets if they have not obtained the required labour permits. It has therefore urged them to complete the necessary procedures in advance.

The department has requested workers who have already purchased air tickets to apply online for re-entry labour permits, along with the required documents, at least three days before their scheduled flights.

It has also asked workers who have already submitted applications for re-entry labour permits to contact the department if they encounter any problems requiring immediate resolution.

For this purpose, the department has designated Section Officer Suresh Shrestha as the contact person. Workers can reach him by sending a message via WhatsApp at 9768998473.
