Meteorologists forecast rain, thundershower tonight

The weather throughout the country would remain partly cloudy and rain and thundershower are likely to occur due to the effect of the westerly and local winds, the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department Of Hydrology and Meteorology says.

Meteorologist Manju Basi says that light rain or thundershowers coupled with lightning are likely in most places of the western region in the evening. Likewise, the division says it is likely to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight while isolated brief rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region.

Basi says that the westerly winds will remain active in the eastern and central hills of the country from Friday.

Currently, some parts of the western belt in the country are partly cloudy. As per the details of the division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius and 26.8 degrees Celsius was the highest temperature. Likewise, Dhangadhi recorded the highest temperature in the country today with 29.1 degrees Celsius and Jumla had the lowest with -0.5 degrees Celsius.
