One person died and another was seriously injured after being attacked by a man with a sickle in Kailali.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Padmaraj Bhandari of Kumari Bagh in Joshipur rural municipality-6.
DSP Bed Prakash Joshi informed that Bhandari was taken to Tikapur Hospital for treatment after being seriously injured by the sickle. But, Bhandari succumbed to injuries.
Injured Jayaraj Bhandari was referred to Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur for further treatment as Tikapur Hospital could not treat his injuries.
According to the police, 50-year-old Gaurilal Dhungana, a relative of Padmaraj Bhandari, attacked the two with a sickle.
Dhungana is on the run. Police have deployed a team to look for him.
