Birgunj, December 21
A man was beaten to death at a wedding ceremony in Parsa.
The deceased has been identified as Saimullah Raut, 36, of Jagarnathpur rural municipality.
The police were informed that Raut was in critical condition at around 4 am on Wednesday morning.
A team led by Police Inspector Kishor Acharya from Pandepur Police Station took him to Narayani Hospital where he breathed his last.
Police said Saimullah Raut was beaten up at Sabir Raut’s wedding. The fight broke out at around 11 pm on Tuesday. Saimullah was beaten up when he forcefully danced when asked by the groom and his family not to.
DSP Deepak Giri, the spokesperson of District Police Office Parsa, informed that further investigation is being carried out on the incident.
