Man arrested for obtaining 3 citizenship certificates from different districts

Kathmandu, March 17

A man has been arrested in Kathmandu on the charge of obtaining three Nepali citizenship certificates from Kathmandu and Baglung districts.

A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested Kamal Sunar, 37, a permanent resident of Galkot municipality-2 of Baglung district, currently residing in Sukedhara, Kathmandu metropolitan city-4.

Police claim Sunar obtained two citizenship certificates from Baglung as Kamal Sunar and Kamal Thapa whereas he got the third one from Kathmandu as Kamal Sunuwar.

It has been found that he had been receiving various facilities from different government agencies.

Sunar has been handed over the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu, the CIB says.
