Janakpurdham, October 18
A man has reportedly killed his sister-in-law on the charge of witchcraft recently, in the Mahottari district of southeastern Nepal.
Sanjaya Jha, a resident of Madai, Mahottari rural municipality-3 of the district, killed his elder brother’s wife Shila Devi on October 13, informs the District Police Office. Sanjaya also forced the victim to consume human faeces and urine.
Sanjaya had used a hammer to kill the woman and field to Janakpur in the neighbouring Dhanusha district, according to police inspector Ranjan Mishra.
Further investigation is underway.
