Lunar eclipse in Nepal sky tonight

Kathmandu, August 7

A lunar eclipse can be seen from 11:07 pm today for around 1 hour 57 minutes from Nepal among various other countries.

According to Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti, the partial lunar eclipse will finish at 1:04 am in Nepal.

“The eclipse can be viewed from Nepal during which a black spot would be noticed in the southern side of shadow of the moon,” said Dr Ram Chandra Gautam, Chairman of the Committee.

Consumption of food items during the eclipse is forbidden except in case of children, ailing persons and elderly ones as prescribed in Hindu holy scriptures, said Dr Gautam, suggesting not to take food items after 2:07 pm today.
