Leapfrog Technology, a software development company, has successfully concluded its Women’s Internship Program.

The programme spanned six weeks from April 27 to June 8, during which the interns delved into the world of software engineering, familiarised themselves with the company’s culture and embarked on an incredible journey of professional growth.

The primary objective of the programme was to offer aspiring 12 female software engineers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a nurturing environment to enhance their skills.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the interns participated in various activities, including learning programming skills, collaborating on assignments, and gaining practical exposure to real-world projects.

Leapfrog says the interns were encouraged to explore their potential, sharpen their technical abilities, and develop essential problem-solving skills during the programme.

“We are immensely proud of the dedication and enthusiasm demonstrated by our interns during their time with us,” says Simran Panthi, a software engineer and one of the trainers involved in the programme. “The Women’s Internship Program is designed to empower aspiring software engineers and equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in the industry.”

The interns had the opportunity to work closely with mentors who provided guidance, support, and invaluable insights into the software engineering field. The programme aimed to foster an inclusive and empowering environment, enabling the interns to gain confidence, unlock their potential, and pave the way for future success.

Reflecting on her experience, one of the interns, Yashaswee Sakha shared, “The Women’s Internship Program has been an incredible journey of learning and growth. I have had the privilege to work alongside talented professionals and expand my programming skills. This programme has instilled in me the confidence to pursue a career in software engineering.”
