Landslides block Narayangadh-Muglin road, East-West Highway

Kathmandu, September 3

A landslide at Panchkilo, Ichchhakamana rural municipality-6 of the Chitwan district has obstructed the Narayangadh-Muglin road that connects Kathmandu with the East-West Highway through the shortest route.

The District Police Office says a landslide that took place at around 7:50 this morning obstructed the road.

Meanwhile, the East-West Highway has also been obstructed due to a landslide at Daunne of Nawalparasi on Friday morning.

Efforts to clear the landslide debris have not started yet as the rainfall and the landslide have continued, according to the police.

Thousands of vehicles have been stranded on both sides of the place due to the landslide.
