Gandaki, October 11
Flying kites, drones and balloons, as well as using laser lights, has been prohibited in the air traffic zones and surrounding areas of Pokhara International Airport and the old Pokhara Airport.
Jagannath Niraula, chief of Pokhara International Airport, said the public had been notified not to engage in these activities as they could seriously compromise flight safety.
The authorities have also urged the public to dispose of waste properly and refrain from dumping dead animals and birds into canals near the airports. Such practices can attract birds and other wildlife, potentially affecting aircraft take-offs and landings.
The Civil Aviation Office of Pokhara International Airport said strict action would be taken under prevailing laws against anyone found violating the notice.
