Kathmandu, March 28

As Nepalis across the country are celebrating the Holi festival on Sunday, hundreds of youth gathered in Basantapur of Kathmandu for a celebration.

Although the Ministry of Health and Population has already warned the nation about a possible spread of the next wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and concerned authorities have urged the public to celebrate the festival within the family only, the youth gathered in the public open space and partied together.

Initially, police tried to stop a few of the people. However, as the number increased, the law enforcers turned helpless.

Basantapur has been seeing thousands of people on the day of Holi every year.
