The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, has designated a contact person for those wishing to provide relief materials to flood victims.
The administration has said that organisations, individuals, companies, clubs and citizens based in Kathmandu district who wish to provide food, clothes, utensils or other household items needed by flood victims can do so through a one-door system for the collection of relief materials.
The District Administration Office issued a notice on Thursday asking individuals and organisations wishing to provide relief materials in Kathmandu to contact Administrative Officer Sujan Kumari Bardewa.
According to the notice, relief materials can be provided by contacting Bardewa at 9841798542.
The administration said the collected relief materials will be delivered to the victims through coordination and management involving the security agencies in the respective districts, security agencies based in Kathmandu that are directly involved in rescue and relief operations, and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
Those wishing to provide cash assistance, however, can deposit funds directly into the account of the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund using the designated account number or the QR code provided by the government, the Kathmandu administration said.
