Karnali’s Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has also joined strike enforcers during the general strike called by the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party on Thursday.
Two other ministers of his government, Land Management and Agriculture Minister Bimala KC and Industry, Tourism and Environment Minister Nanda Singh Budha also accompanied him.
The ministers addressed the protesters at Mangalgadhi Chok of Birendranagar, the provincial capital, on Thursday.
The faction that is protesting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives is leading two provincial governments: in Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.
