Kathmandu, May 1
The long-shuttered Jai Nepal Film Hall has reopened from Friday following reconstruction. Audiences can purchase tickets and watch films starting today.
The reopening was marked on Friday morning with screenings of Nepali film trailers, along with a auspicious ceremony. Prominent Nepali film personalities, including Neer Shah, attended the event.
One of the operators, Gopal Kayastha, said viewers can begin watching films from Friday by purchasing tickets.
The hall had initially planned to reopen with the Nepali film Lalibazaar. However, after a court order halted its screening, the hall will instead release the Bollywood film Raja Shivaji on Friday evening.
