Kathmandu, September 7
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava has said rescue efforts are continuing at the Chilime Hydropower Project in Rasuwa in coordination with an Indian technical team.
Srivastava said through social media that efforts to advance the rescue operation were continuing in coordination with the Indian team.
According to the ambassador, a joint technical team from Nepal and India has established the necessary safety-rope connections to facilitate entry into the tunnel.
“High-capacity mud pumps and generators have also been brought to the site to remove the mud and sludge accumulated inside the tunnel,” he said.
Meanwhile, work to construct the road required to facilitate the rescue operation is also progressing, Srivastava said.
