Kathmandu, January 21

After two advocates claimed the government has not published an official notice about the dissolution of the House of Representatives in its official gazette, the Supreme Court has told the government to submit the notice to the court.

During the hearing of the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House, advocates Om Prakash Aryal and Tika Ram Bhattarai claimed today that the official decision was published on the website of the President’s Office only.

Following the claim, Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana, who was chairing the bench, told the Office of the Attorney General to submit a copy of the notice that was published in the gazette.

The five-member constitutional bench is hearing the case from Sunday this week. It is unlikely that the court will issue its final verdict before March.
