Honor has launched its premium mid-range option; the Honor 200 Pro 5G and the Honor 200 5G in the Nepali market. The 200 Pro fills a market gap in Nepal in the premium mid-range segment, with limited options compared to the budget, mid-range, and flagship offerings. The premium mid-range offerings in recent times have been eyed by many for the almost flagship-like performance, built and camera features.
The 200 Pro follows last year’s Honor 100 Pro, launched in November. The 200 Pro has a few major changes in specifications from the 100 Pro including dimensions, weight, display features, chipset, camera features and battery size.
The Honor 200 Pro 5G is the third member of the Honor 200 series, which also includes the Honor 200 5G and the Honor 200 Lite. The 200 Pro offers the most premium features, the 200 5G is the mid-range option and the 200 Lite is the budget choice. The 200 Pro will compete against the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, iPhone 12 and Nothing Phone 2 in Nepal.

Design and Display
The Honor 200 Pro 5G design is premium with a glass back. The back features a pill-shaped rear camera design with a shiny metal outline. The 200 Pro is available in two colour options in Nepal; ocean cyan and black. The ocean cyan has a dual-tone finish with both matte and shiny parts, whereas the black colour option has a matte finish. The glass back curves towards the plastic frame which has a shiny metal-like finish.
The front of the Honor 200 Pro 5G features a premium curved display with a centrally located pill-shaped camera cutout for the selfie camera and the depth sensor. The bezels are very thin giving a premium look. The Honor 200 Pro 5G features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2700 x 1224 pixels with a 437 ppi density. It supports 1.07 billion colours and has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is HDR-compatible and can reach a peak brightness of 4000 nits. It has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water. The display is protected by durable aluminosilicate glass.
Performance and Storage
The Honor 200 Pro 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset (4nm). The chipset is the latest addition by Snapdragon and delivers flagship-tier performance. It features an octa-core CPU, consisting of 1 x 3.0 GHz Cortex-X4, 4 x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A720, and 3 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A520 cores. The graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 735 GPU. It runs on MagicOS 8 based on Android 14. It is equipped with the HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip that supports extensive 5G coverage worldwide, making overseas travel more convenient. This chip enhances antenna transmission by up to 17% and improves antenna reception by up to 35%.
The Honor 200 Pro 5G has one memory option with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It also features the All-range Cooling System 2.0 which includes a stainless steel biomimetic vapour chamber (VC) of size 5564mm², with a total heat dissipation area of 36881mm² and is thin at just 0.3mm.
Camera
The Honor 200 Pro 5G features a power-packed triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP wide camera with an f/1.9 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with an f/2.4 aperture and OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera offers 50x digital zoom. The image resolution can reach up to 8192×6144 pixels which delivers high-quality photos.
The camera system uses both Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and OIS to ensure stable shots. It offers various capture modes, including Portrait art style, Highlights Capture, Smart Focus, Moving Photo, Time-lapse, AI photography, Super Wide Angle, Aperture, Multi-Video, Night shot, Portrait mode, Photo, Pro mode, Video, Slow-Mo, Panorama, HDR, SOLO Cut, Night video, STROY, Filter, Watermark, Scan Document, Super Macro, Capture smiles, Timer and High-Res mode. Video recording options include 4K at 30 fps and 1080p at 30 or 60 fps.
The Honor 200 Pro 5G features a 50MP front camera with an f/2.1 aperture with an image resolution that can reach up to 8192×6144 pixels. For video, the front camera supports 4K videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 30 fps. The front camera includes several capture modes, such as Moving Photo, Portrait, Time-lapse, Filter, Capture smiles, Mirror reflection, Timer, Gesture control, Night, Watermark, High-Resolution, and Multi-Video. The Honor 200 Pro 5G comes with a 5200 mAh battery which is slightly larger than the Honor 100 Pro. It supports 100W wired charging and 66W wireless charging for fast recharging. Additionally, it also offers 5W reverse wired charging and reverse wireless charging to charge other devices.
For connectivity, the Honor 200 Pro supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax for fast internet access and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity with compatible devices. It is compatible with both LTE and 5G networks and supports dual SIM cards for convenience. The audio system features stereo speakers for a vibrant sound experience. It includes a range of sensors: a gravity sensor, infrared sensor, in-display fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
