The government has prepared the annual policy and programme keeping the development and prosperity of Nepal and Nepalis in mind.

A plan incorporating the calandarised policy and programmes of the communist party has been included in the annual policy and programme, which will be announced by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in the meeting of the federal parliament this afternoon.

The plan has stressed more on the social security plans for the elderly, children, poor, marginalised, and incapable people, informed a minister.

Similarly, development of energy, railways and waterways connectivity has also been stressed in the annual policy.

Rapid development has been prioritised in the programme, and the government has targeted to increase the technical education to 70 per cent and decrease the regular ones to 30 per cent. A special programme is being proposed for children.

Talking to Onlinekhabar, Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel said that the communist party will implement all the policies and programmes that were mentioned in the joint election manifesto unveiled during the elections last year.

“I cannot reveal every detail as the President herself will be announcing it in the meeting today. But, I can assure you that the policy mentions all the work plan for the next 10 years that was mentioned in the manifesto,” he added.
