Govt suspends N-PABSON

Kathmandu, October 30

The government has suspended the National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association Nepal (N-PABSON).

The Ministry of Home Affairs said the association had repeatedly failed to comply with directives issued by the ministry under Section 5 of the National Directive Act, 2018.

A statement issued by the ministry also said that the association’s office-bearers had engaged in activities contrary to its constitution approved by the government and its core objectives.

The ministry said it had held discussions with the concerned stakeholders on October 9, and urged them to comply with the National Directive Act, 2018, and the directives issued by the ministry on November 28, 2025. However, the association was found not to have acted accordingly.

As the association had failed to comply with the directives under Section 5 of the Act, the ministry said it had decided to suspend N-PABSON under Section 6(2) until further notice.
