Kathmandu, September 25
Senior orthopaedic surgeon at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Dr Govinda KC, has announced to begin another round of fast-unto-death today claiming lawmakers in Parliament are trying to modify the draft of Medical Education Bill going against agreements signed with him earlier.
He is organising a press meet at the hospital to make the announcement.
It will be Dr KC’s 12th indefinite hunger strike putting forth almost similar demands.
Just last month, he had ended the 11th strike claiming it was just ‘suspension’ considering the emergency situations created in many parts of the country due to floods and landslides.
Then, he had visited some villages of Terai to operate health camps for flood victims.
