Gold prices hit record high in Nepal amid global surge

Kathmandu, March 31

The price of gold in Nepal has reached an all-time high, reflecting the ongoing surge in the international market.

On Monday, gold was traded at Rs 177,009 per tola, setting a new record. This marks an increase of Rs 1,100 from the previous day, when it stood at Rs 176,800 per tola. The global price of gold has now crossed USD 3,100 per ounce, driven by market uncertainties and rising demand.

Meanwhile, silver prices also saw a slight increase, reaching Rs 2,035 per tola, up by NPR 10 from the previous day. Experts suggest that gold’s upward trend may continue, influenced by economic conditions and investor sentiment.
